It has been busy around here. And cold, very, very cold. I do have to admit the clear blue skies and snow on the ground is quite beautiful. Especially the clouds.
Around here, we have been busy baking (shortbread, banana bread, cheddar breadsticks) wrapping presents, and enjoying the down time since these next few weeks are quite busier. To be honest, they are a lot busier than I like.
I have more gifts to wrap today and I am hoping to finish off a hat I am knitting for Kennedy. I will share details on that Wednesday, along with the other hat I finished this week. I also need to work on 2 very last minute projects and possibly a third but I have the best pattern picked out. I will not share which but I just want to thank French Press Knits for another fantastic quick knit.
I am also debating when to move to the new blog. I had planned to wait until the etsy shop opened but I think I may do it sooner. Updates on that to come.

I am still eating leftovers. Lunch today is a simple turkey sandwich with mayo and brussels sprouts. K is enjoying corn and roasted squash. She may have eaten a bite or 2 of turkey when I was not looking.
This morning Kennedy and I got her gifts ready for giving. While all the gifts we are giving are done, some do require assembly and then there is wrapping all of them. We also have some gifts being sent out of state and Hanukkah is early this year so I want to have those gifts ready for shipping by the end of the week.
I put the finishing touches on Jacob's gift this morning and I have to say, it is awesome. I wish I could share photos or details but it is to soon (if you are on Ravelry you could go check it out under my projects though.)
I bought the Lady Gaga cd, and I have to admit, it rocks.
What does everyone think of the new layout? I still want to improve the banner but need photoshop so if you can help, let me know!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with love, happiness and peace.
We had a great Thanksgiving here and spent it with family and friends. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday though it is bittersweet for me now. 2 years ago, a few days past Thanksgiving, my mother lost her battle with cancer.
Today is her anniversary and I am honoring her the best way I can, by giving thanks for the wonderful things that fill my life...and being grateful for the time I did share with her.
What are you thankful for this holiday weekend?
