So Much Sock Yarn

My secret project is complete! It has not been given to its' owner yet so here is just a quick teaser photo.

I knit that project with sock weight yarn which I am starting to love, for everything but socks.

I pulled out a ball of sock yarn from Three Irish Girls to cast on the Sock Yarn Sweater by Hannah Fettig for Kennedy as one of her Hanukkah gifts. I really want to cast it on now but I am waiting for the needles to arrive. I needed size 4 16'circulars which I do not currently own.

 

My comfort with finer yarns is finally allowing me to move on to some sweaters sitting in my Rav queue for some time. After some careful thought, I placed an order for my sweater yarn and today it arrived from Twist. (By the way, Cathy was so helpful and the customer service was top notch!)

First up is 3 skeins of Malabrigo lace in applewood. I am going to use this to knit the Whisper Cardigan, also by Hannah Fettig.

I also got 3 skeins of Malabrigo Lace in Olive for the Featherweight Cardigan. 

(I also really want to knit Hannah's pullover so if anyone needs Hanukkah ideas...some Classic Elite Fresco would be amazing. I'm just saying)

And while not sock yarn, I also picked up a skein of Malabrigo worsted and a skein of Aquarella to knit myself a hat.
